The Yule log is lit with a piece from the old year’s one that was saved to protect the house from Winter’s Solstice to Solstice. The tree bears ornaments: crystals wrapped in wire, garlands of popcorn, oranges and apples studded with cloves and small sachet bags with cinnamon. Written wishes hang from holly branches. The scent of pine fills the air. Ivy, evergreens, and red, white and gold candles decorate the green clothed altar. Love, camaraderie and accomplishments of the past year and hopes for the next are celebrated. Presents are exchanged amid merriment and joy.
What to Give Pagans, Druids, Wiccans and NeoPagans for the Sabbat
One must, of course, know which branch of spirituality is being practiced. There is another factor to consider, which is whether or not the person wants to obtain crystals and other items used in rituals, divination and as decorations herself or himself. Some won’t allow others to touch their crystals while others will. Not all parts of the country have shops one can actually visit, but there are many fine places to buy these items on the Internet.
